The first of what would become multiple projects for the Heyday facial brand is set in a unique trapezoidal space around the corner from Madison Square Park and the iconic Flat Iron Building. A retail, reception, and waiting area are set behind the large storefront windows and semi-private treatment areas are arranged in the area beyond. The clients were intentionally breaking away from the idea of facials as a spa treatment in small enclosed rooms and the design reflects that goal – blond and dark woods, brass accents, playful chandeliers and pops of color are combined to create a low-key vibrant space.
